PA 13-307 An Act Concerning Copayment for Physical Therapy Services

As we turnover a new calendar on January 1, 2015 Public Act 13-307 will take effect.  During the 2013 legislative session CPTA proactively sought this legislation, which prohibits health insurance policies from imposing a copayment of more than $30 per visit for in-network physical therapy services.  This legislation addresses the problem of patients not being able to access physical therapy services because of the high co-payments.  This new law will provide access to physical therapy services resulting in better outcomes in patient care.
